Oh the EFY experience.
(Peri Musser and I at EFY. Best Friends forever)Wow. what can i say about EFY. Well, to start off... there was always that favorite aspect about TRULY going to EFY. Now, i'm going to be honest here, but, BOYS. lol, Every Teenage LDS girl goes to EFY to meet boys from around the world. Boys, Boys, Boys. While i was there i really bonded with a boy named Mark. We were basically inseperable the whole week. We had so much in common, with trials, etc. We were there for each other. It was a really neat experience to have with someone other than my close girlfriends or family. Now, me and mark are NOTHING more than friends. Although we went on Dates during free time, him escorting me constantly, dancing at the dances.... you might think we do. But i know the real reason we were like that and that was because we were so much alike and LOVED talking to each other and still do.
Other than the Boys.... there was always that Spiritual PUNCH in the face. That's what i like to call Spiritual Enlightenment. hahaha. The Spirit was SOOO intense up there. I think it was BYU. seriously. I REALLY REALLY want to have CES make a whole summer long EFY. no joke.
i could really get used to that idea.
Ok.. so i know all of you have been dying to hear about my date with the UTAH BOY.
His name is Jared, from EFY last year, and he is from Farmington, UT.
To start off the date, we met in the middle at Temple Square in SLC. We did the whole Visitor Center thing and then drove up to Farmington to get the other couple to double with us.
While we had an hour to kill, he had forgotten to mention that i needed a sweatshirt and tennis Shoes.... so we decided to give ol D.I. a good long visit. We got my shoes, sweatshirt and socks for $12.25! Bargain Shopping right there.
We still had a long time to kill, so he took me on what is called, "Lagoon Trail", which is an asphalted trail through the woods right behind Lagoon. Wild Blackberries and Wild Chikens and apple trees were some of our friends on our walk. I had also never had a blackberry so i got to experience my FIRST ONE. (delicious might i add)
Showed me around where he hangs out with his friends.. and where he goes to school... (Davis Darts... lol) and finally went to pick up Dallin and Alisson. After we got the group we went to Jared's House and made Foil Dinners, and Headed toward Bountiful. Since it was only 4:30 in the afternoon, we decided to go ice skating at the "Bountiful Bubble". That was REALLY fun! Man that was kinda hard to ice skate too!
After our ankles were UBER sore... we headed up to a National Park behind the Bountiful Temple called Mueller Park. We Hiked down a little hill and found our perfect destination complete with a fire pit, forest and a cute little stream! it was like a fairy tale!
We cooked our dinners and then cooked S'mores. Yum yum yum. It was REALLY fun to have an OPEN fire because here in AZ we aren't allowed to have open flame. It was starting to get dark so we decided to head on down to the temple and watch the sunset. you could say that this was the "romantic" part of the night considering that THIS---
was our sunset. yowza.
and then he took me home. and NO... there was no kiss goodnight... thank you very much.
;)
this is seriously like a NOVEL!
